Process for Manitoba Immigration Process

There are three typical scenarios involving Manitoba PNP Express Entry.

Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program Express Entry scenarios:

  • Candidate can only apply through the Express Entry Skilled Worker program. The province can then select suitable applicants from this pool.
  • Candidates can apply directly through the Manitoba Nomination Program. The province will then select applicant and will ask them to enter Express Entry pool.
  • Candidates can be nominated directly by the MB PNP through the Skilled Worker and Business categories. The applicant doesn’t have to apply through the Express Entry program. Instead, after they’ve been approved by Manitoba, they’ll submit a separate application for permanent residency through the CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada).

The province has a total of 5,500 nominations to be selected for the permanent residency. When an immigrant in the Express Entry pool is then nominated by Manitoba, the applicant receives an additional 600 points under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System. This results in an invitation to apply for permanent residence. The processing time of application is approximately six months or less.

While the Express Entry program is an important and effective method of establishing permanent residency in Canada, the specifics of the MPNP will be more important to those looking to immigrant specifically to the province of Manitoba. Often, completing the Manitoba PNP online will aid the applicant through the Express Entry Process. CIC Manitoba nominated candidates will be selected to apply for Canadian permanent residency through an Express Entry draw much sooner than if they did not have a provincial nomination or job offer.

Candidates who have submitted their application via express entry their application will be selected via various series of EOI draws. EOI draws occurs various several times a year where highest-scoring candidates are connected to province to submit their permanent residency application. Once, the applicants are successfully nominated by the province will then be able to apply for permanent residence visa from the Federal Government of Canada for themselves and their family.
